Restoring Wetland Vegetation
Restoring Wetland Vegetation
Hororo![]() Rewetting of unused farmland has been underway since 2012 to restore wetland vegetation in the Hororo area. The land is being converted into wetland by excavating the ground surface, which raises the groundwater level closer to the surface and promotes the growth of wetland vegetation.
Monitoring ResultsGroundwater levels and vegetation distribution have been monitored to examine their relationship.
Based on the survey results, wetland vegetation was observed in areas where the topsoil had been removed.
