11 Promoting environmental education
The mire should be used effectively as a source of environmental education for people of all ages. Toward this, community leaders must be educated.

Awareness, understanding and action are needed for the conservation of the mire, and each step requires environmental education.
To ensure sufficient awareness of marshland conservation, opportunities to feel and experience nature in its optimum state should be provided. A system is particularly needed to promote the involvement of local residents such as children and their parents.
A grassroots network needs to be built up to implement and support environmental education.
Information describing environmental aspects should be provided to users including anglers and pleasure boaters.
A system is needed for training and retaining community leaders.
